Waka 1 Skip

Explanation

In Agata, the first Waka fight can be skipped with no consequences. The trigger permanently disappears if Ammy leaves Agata by going to Tsuta or Taka, so it doesn't interfere with later trips.

With KT's

The trigger for the fight is too large to just jump around, but it can be avoided by KT'ing up to the ledge above the guardian sapling cave entrance.

With Brush Adventure

In NG, a Brush Adventure can be performed directly from the room with the Guardian Sapling to the cursed patch in the hollow tree near the Mermaid Spring. This warps Ammy past the Waka fight trigger, skipping the fight.

During Agata Blooming

Link to full trick In NG+ you can skip the blooming cutscene which makes sure you don't spawn in the Sapling room. This allows you to run around the Waka fight without even getting close.

History

Auride first demonstrated that Waka 1 could be skipped via a Brush Adventure to the cursed patch near Kokari on 22 October 2019 in this video: https://youtu.be/iID96M7BhnE, but this was slower than simply fighting Waka.

Auride later found the faster method using the cursed patch near the mermaid spring on 12 November 2020 in this video: https://youtu.be/vLGVSXS0uf8. The same day, Popprocks discovered that a few seconds can be saved during the Brush Adventure by pointing the camera into the room while still decently far away and re-brushing to make it snap in-bounds.
