Explanation
When running down a slope, Ammy's speed is increased slightly above the normal value. Similarly, when moving up a slope, Ammy moves slower than normal. This change in speed can be avoided be repeatedly jumping within a few frames of landing. This allows you to store the speed bonus from a downward slope onto an upward slope or flat ground, or to store the base speed from flat ground onto an upward slope. This is called Slope Hopping. Skilled use of Slope Hopping can save seconds when traversing most areas.
