Explanation
When you hold the Camera button for long enough, the game will switch to a first-person view where the camera looks from Ammy's facing direction. If you release the camera button during a narrow window right as first-person mode is starting, the camera's facing direction will instead by copied to Ammy, causing her to turn instantly. This can be done even in certain situations where turning isn't otherwise possible, such as during a tackle or tackle bounce. This is known as the First Person Glitch or FPG.
Using FPG during a tackle bounce allows Ammy to effectively redirect the horizontal momentum from the bounce in any direction, including back towards the wall she bounced off of. This can make certain tricks involving tackle bounces more lenient on angle/position, or make certain tricks possible outright.
Applications
- In NG, it's possible to get onto Shinshu Plateau early using a combination of FPG and Unskew Boost (https://youtu.be/AZIVF9aGou0).
- FPG can be used to make the tackle angle more lenient for Single Skip (https://youtu.be/j3zBjWc7Sng).
- FPG can be used to make the final tackle bounce more lenient for the NG variant of Watcher's Cape Early (https://youtu.be/mGOCPOL-GcE).
- FPG can be used to reach the upper Agata entrance in NG. https://youtu.be/t7Nh78HJ8MU
