Explanation
When Ammy stands right on the edge of a piece of collision, with her rear paws off the collision, she will go into a skewed pose with her rear paws lower down, as though standing on a steep upward slope. If she moves forward, the game will give her a small upward boost while keeping her grounded, similar to moving up a slope or Slope Storage.
Applications
- It's possible to use an Unskew Boost in combination with a First Person Glitch Tackle Bounce to get onto Shinshu Plateau without Catwalk in NG.
History
Unskew Boost was first identified as potentially useful by Auride on 12 March, 2020 for a faster method of Fireburst Early in NG. However, it was later determined that this wasn't necessary or particularly helpful in this instance.
The first useful application was a variant of NG Shinshu Plateau Early, discovered by Auride on 10 April, 2021.
