1-Frame Jump

Explanation

If Ammy voids out or dies and is resurrected by the Astral Pouch, she will respawn at her respawn coordinates. Ammy's respawn coordinates are normally updated whenever she is on stable ground (which includes most solid surfaces), and not when she's in the air. However, if Ammy is airborne and then you jump on the first possible frame after landing, her respawn location will not be updated. Okami has no input buffer, so this is a frame-perfect input each time. It's possible to chain 1-Frame Jumps together in order to avoid updating Ammy's respawn coordinates for an extended period of time, such as for NG Gale Shrine Origin Warp.

Due to the precision required for this technique, it's usually avoided in favor of Sleep Walking, which allows you to avoid updating the respawn location while grounded, but this is only an option in NG+ where KT's are available, or on maps where Day/Night transitions or certain cutscenes can be used to trigger the Sleep Walking state.
