When back in North Ryoshima Coast all the triggers that are in place to make sure you go to Oni Island are still there and you can't use the normal Origin Mirror or the Mermaid Spring to warp out. You can however KT up to the Rocky Area to warp out since it was not expected that you could reach there.
After leaving, North Ryo will be in the same state as just prior to entering Oni Island, meaning Issun will stop you from leaving the map through almost all methods. You can't use the Mermaid Spring or use Mist Warp on Origin Mirror, but you can KT up to the Rocky Area and use Mist Warp on that Origin Mirror. No Issun text is programmed to stop you from warping there, allowing you to escape the Ninetails sequence.

== Uses ==
Defeating Ninetails is the trigger for lightning clouds to appear in Shinshu Field, meaning you cannot open the entrance to Kamui and must perform [[Kamui Early]] either earlier or later in the run.
In NG+ Any% if you combine this with Double Jump Early and Ship Clip you can save 3 minutes in the NG+ Any% Speedrun.

== Possible uses ==
Defeating Ninetails is also the trigger for Ida's third race, which is required to obtain the Gimmick Gear and thus the Thunderbolt hidden brush technique. Thus, this cannot be performed in NG+ All Brushes.
Sadly this can't be used in NG+ All Brushes since it would lock you out of getting Gimmick Gear. The third Ida race only starts after you've defeated Ninetails.

Explanation

Normally, if you attempt to go leave Oni Island by going back over Otohime, Issun will stop you and force Ammy to turn back. By KTing over that cutscene trigger, you can leave Oni Island and go back to North Ryoshima Coast.

Demonstration: https://youtu.be/PoVZ93oka28?t=3125

Effects

After leaving, North Ryo will be in the same state as just prior to entering Oni Island, meaning Issun will stop you from leaving the map through almost all methods. You can't use the Mermaid Spring or use Mist Warp on Origin Mirror, but you can KT up to the Rocky Area and use Mist Warp on that Origin Mirror. No Issun text is programmed to stop you from warping there, allowing you to escape the Ninetails sequence.

Defeating Ninetails is the trigger for lightning clouds to appear in Shinshu Field, meaning you cannot open the entrance to Kamui and must perform Kamui Early either earlier or later in the run.

Defeating Ninetails is also the trigger for Ida's third race, which is required to obtain the Gimmick Gear and thus the Thunderbolt hidden brush technique. Thus, this cannot be performed in NG+ All Brushes.
